LHS $ Money Drop $
- We will have four Money Drop teams. These teams will be grade level teams.Freshman TeamSophomore TeamJunior TeamSenior Team
- Themes for each day –Monday – “Character Day” (dress as your favorite character)Tuesday – “Class Color Day” (each class will wear a different color)Wednesday – “Senior Citizen Day” (dress as an elderly person)Thursday – “Destination Day” (wear clothing to your class’s destination)Friday – “Spirit Day” (wear red and black to show school spirit)
- Homeroom teachers will be team organizers/sponsors and will assist the team daily. All teachers will serve on the Money Drop committee and will be responsible for setting up, officiating, keeping score, clean-up, etc.
- We will not have a dance this year.
- We will need buckets for your money droppers. Make sure your name is on the bucket so we may return it to you.
- General Money Dropping Rules –
- All pennies, cash and checks count as positive points for your team.
A penny is one point – one dollar
is 100 points - $10 is 1000 points, and so on. These points go toward your
team’s grand total.
- No Money will be dropped.
- Tuesday is DOUBLE $1 and $5 bill day. *Rolled Pennies will count as $1.00*
- Wednesday is DOUBLE BIG bill day ($10, $20, $50, $100). *A roll of quarters will count as $10.00*
- Thursday is DOUBLE NEGATIVE Day. *No Pennies*
- Friday is DOUBLE Check day. *No Coins*
- All silver coins count as negative points and can be dropped on other teams to cancel out their positive points. On Thursday, all silver change is DOUBLE NEGATIVE.
Students in grades 6-8 will be allowed to dress up and
attend pep rallies each day. They will
drop money on a team of their choice.
They will also be rewarded with a special afternoon snack for dropping
money.
The Team with the overall winning number of points will be
provided a special prize at the conclusion of the event. We will take the winning team to the Jasper
Bowling Center to bowl and provide lunch.

Monday, Oct. 12 Plans
– “Character Day”
Tuesday, Oct. 13 Plans
– “Class Color Day” – All students and faculty members are encouraged to wear selected
colored clothing to support the money drop.
This is the only day that students are allowed to paint their hair or
wear face paint (each team has their own rules concerning this).
Wednesday, Oct. 14 Plans
– “Senior Citizen Day” – All students and faculty members are encouraged to
dress as the elderly. The pep rally will feature several competitions for “senior
citizens.”
Thursday, Oct. 15
Plans – “Destination Day” – All students and faculty members are encouraged
to wear selected “Destination” attire.
The pep rally will feature several “Destination” themed activities.
Friday, Oct. 16 Plans
– “Spirit Day” – All students and faculty are encouraged to wear red and
black. We will have a normal Friday pep
rally and parade.
We will choose the team that dresses up and participates
most each day. Teams will be rewarded
points. Also, each grade will pick two students
(1 boy and 1 girl) to enter the best dressed competition each day. A winner will be selected as the best dressed
and their team will be awarded points.
Each grade will be allowed to enter a float in the
parade. You must let your homeroom
teacher know if you plan on entering a float.
All float work and organization will be the responsibility of students
and parents. All work and money for
floats will be handled outside the school.
Students that return permission forms will be allowed to work on class
floats Friday morning (weather permitting) and ride on the float during the
parade. A homeroom teacher must remain
with the class Friday morning and during the parade.
WE NEED PARENT
VOLUNTEERS! Parents are welcome
to come for the pep rally. Involving the
parents and having them get into the “hype” will bring in more money.
