Senior Graduation Supplies
The representative from Campus Recognition will be at school tomorrow at 10:30 to take orders for senior supplies (cap and gown, invitations, memory books, etc.) There is a $50 deposit due tomorrow. Please make sure you are there to order with your money.

Homecoming/Money Drop 2015
LHS $ Money Drop $
- We will have four Money Drop teams. These teams will be grade level teams.Freshman TeamSophomore TeamJunior TeamSenior Team
- Themes for each day –Monday – “Character Day” (dress as your favorite character)Tuesday – “Class Color Day” (each class will wear a different color)Wednesday – “Senior Citizen Day” (dress as an elderly person)Thursday – “Destination Day” (wear clothing to your class’s destination)Friday – “Spirit Day” (wear red and black to show school spirit)
- Homeroom teachers will be team organizers/sponsors and will assist the team daily. All teachers will serve on the Money Drop committee and will be responsible for setting up, officiating, keeping score, clean-up, etc.
- We will not have a dance this year.
- We will need buckets for your money droppers. Make sure your name is on the bucket so we may return it to you.
- General Money Dropping Rules –
- All pennies, cash and checks count as positive points for your team.
A penny is one point – one dollar
is 100 points - $10 is 1000 points, and so on. These points go toward your
team’s grand total.
- No Money will be dropped.
- Tuesday is DOUBLE $1 and $5 bill day. *Rolled Pennies will count as $1.00*
- Wednesday is DOUBLE BIG bill day ($10, $20, $50, $100). *A roll of quarters will count as $10.00*
- Thursday is DOUBLE NEGATIVE Day. *No Pennies*
- Friday is DOUBLE Check day. *No Coins*
- All silver coins count as negative points and can be dropped on other teams to cancel out their positive points. On Thursday, all silver change is DOUBLE NEGATIVE.
Students in grades 6-8 will be allowed to dress up and
attend pep rallies each day. They will
drop money on a team of their choice.
They will also be rewarded with a special afternoon snack for dropping
money.
The Team with the overall winning number of points will be
provided a special prize at the conclusion of the event. We will take the winning team to the Jasper
Bowling Center to bowl and provide lunch.

– “Class Color Day” – All students and faculty members are encouraged to wear selected
colored clothing to support the money drop.
This is the only day that students are allowed to paint their hair or
wear face paint (each team has their own rules concerning this).
Wednesday, Oct. 14 Plans
– “Senior Citizen Day” – All students and faculty members are encouraged to
dress as the elderly. The pep rally will feature several competitions for “senior
citizens.”
Thursday, Oct. 15
Plans – “Destination Day” – All students and faculty members are encouraged
to wear selected “Destination” attire.
The pep rally will feature several “Destination” themed activities.
Friday, Oct. 16 Plans
– “Spirit Day” – All students and faculty are encouraged to wear red and
black. We will have a normal Friday pep
rally and parade.
We will choose the team that dresses up and participates
most each day. Teams will be rewarded
points. Also, each grade will pick two students
(1 boy and 1 girl) to enter the best dressed competition each day. A winner will be selected as the best dressed
and their team will be awarded points.
Each grade will be allowed to enter a float in the
parade. You must let your homeroom
teacher know if you plan on entering a float.
All float work and organization will be the responsibility of students
and parents. All work and money for
floats will be handled outside the school.
Students that return permission forms will be allowed to work on class
floats Friday morning (weather permitting) and ride on the float during the
parade. A homeroom teacher must remain
with the class Friday morning and during the parade.
WE NEED PARENT
VOLUNTEERS! Parents are welcome
to come for the pep rally. Involving the
parents and having them get into the “hype” will bring in more money.

Letterman Jackets
Letterman Jacket orders will be placed on Tuesday, August 25. You must pay a $100 deposit on this day. Checks must be made out to Athletic Gear, not Lynn High School.

Senior Awards Day/Class Day
The LHS Class of 2015 will hold Awards Day/Class Day ceremonies on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. in the high school gym.
All parents/family members are welcome to attend.
LHS Field Day
LHS Field Day 2015
LHS will hold Field Day 2015 on Monday, May 11 from 12:30-2:30. Students will pay $2 to attend. There will be a kickball tournament (teams will be divided by grades), cornhole tournament (teams of 2) and other activities. There will also be a dunking booth that students may pay $1 per throw to try and dunk someone and concessions will be available.
Field Day t-shirts that were ordered will be given out after Class Day/Senior Awards Day on Monday.

Doughnut Sale
The Lynn High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders are selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The original glazed are $8/box and the chocolate iced are $9/box. The deadline to place an order is Friday, May 8. Doughnuts will be delivered on Monday, May 11. Please see a cheerleader or Mrs. Lane King to order your doughnuts.

LHS Prom
Lynn High School's Prom will be held Friday, March 20 at Huckleberry Farms in Jasper, AL. Due to uncertain weather conditions, walk-in will once again be held in the Lynn Cafeteria beginning at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30. Junior class members will be announced first, followed by Senior class members. Who's Who in the Senior Class, as well as Mr. and Miss LHS and Mr. and Miss Citizenship will also be announced. All family, friends and community members are welcomed to attend walk-in, however, only prom attendees and LHS faculty and staff will be allowed at Huckleberry Farms.
Bill Miller photographers will be set up for pictures in the high school (Coach Randolph's classroom) from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. Walk-in will begin promptly at 6 p.m.

Team Dono

"Team Dono" bracelets are $5 each.
All proceeds go to help the family of 6th grade Lynn Elementary student, Donovan Davis, who is currently at Children's Hospital waiting on a heart transplant. All proceeds and donations go directly to the Davis family.

Valentine's Day Fundraisers
The LHS Key Club is sponsoring a Womanless Beauty Pageant for boys in grades 9-12 on Friday, February 13 at 1:30 in the cafeteria. All grades will be allowed to attend this fun event. Admission for grades K-6 will be $1 per student and admission for grades 7-12 and other outside guests will be $2. Refreshments will also be sold.
The Key Club is also selling chocolate roses to be delivered to students on Friday, February 13. Roses are $2 each and may be purchased from any Key Club member or from Mrs. Kara Tittle. Forms were sent home with elementary students and are available in the high school office.
All proceeds from these two events will be to fund our Key Club students who are attending District Convention. Thank you for your support.

Winston County Basketball Tournament
Congratulations to our varsity girls and boys basketball teams and Coach Gray on huge wins over Winston County High School last night in the first round of the county tournament!
The Varsity Girls will take on the winner of tonight's game between Addison and Meek at 5:30 on Saturday at Lynn High School for the county championship.
The Varsity Boys will take on the winner of tonight's game between Addison and Meek at 7:00 on Saturday at Lynn High School for the county championship.

Winston County Basketball Tournament
The Winston County Basketball Tournament will be held at Lynn High School beginning on Thursday, January 22 and continue through Saturday, January 24. Lynn's Varsity girls will play WCHS at 5:30 on Thursday, followed by the Varsity boys playing WCHS at 7:00. Championship games will be played on Saturday evening. Come out and support the Bears!
Student of the 2nd Quarter
Lynn School will hold its Student of the 2nd Quarter assembly on Tuesday, January 20 at 12:45 in the high school gym. This assembly will recognize students in grades K-12 who have excelled both in and out of the classroom. Honor Rolls and Perfect Attendance will also be recognized. All are welcomed to attend.
